2.Synchrone instruments midi dump 1/23/2023 7:39:35 AM
Hi,
Sorry I have no understand what IS this function...
Can someone please make me an example of its use?

From the User manual:
MIDI Dump: Sends the current sampler slot selection to your sequencer, also via MIDI CC (set in Preferences).
3.String quartet mixer preset 3/10/2021 7:09:03 AM
Hi,
What mixer preset do you use to simulate a classical string quartet with syn-solo strings?
4.Mixer preset 3/7/2021 10:48:11 AM
How can I copy mixer preset from one preset to another?
I have done my violin preset and I wish to copy the mixer preset from vsl preset to mine... How can I do?
5.Solo string perf-rep 12/5/2020 11:04:32 AM
I have to understand a thing,
Perf rep legato Vs Perf rep portato.
So the word "portato" as intended by a violinist I guess it means several notes with some gap but under a bow direction, and legato repetition I guess the same but with a little gap between notes, correct me if I am wrong.

But if I am right, in vsl world, this words are note intended as a violinist use to do.
So, if I have to program, e.g. A note in sixteen repetition at 120 BPM, a simple repetition detache, what should I use?

Per rep leg and per rep portato are intended as detache repetition? For detache I mean a bow stroke without leaving the string as violinist use to do.

Thanks in advance
6.Solo string repetition 12/4/2020 7:30:21 PM
I think portato was intended for repered note under a one bow direction... While legato rep was a detache repetition.. I am a little bit confused with the name you gave to articulation....
7.Solo string repetition 12/1/2020 10:35:30 AM
Hi,
If I want to perform with solo string I a fast repetition, detache, is it OK to use leg fast repetition? Is leg fastvrepetion intended as detache?
8.Multiple key switch 11/24/2020 5:28:44 PM
Hi,
I am interesting to upgrade to solo string syn.... But a question,
I see from tutorials video that synchrone player use multiple key switch, so, cause I work in dorico, how can I do that?
I see that the dimension tree works in this way, so I have no idea how to switch from articulations using multiple key switch... Maybe I misanderstand something..
9.velocity to CC11 11/13/2020 5:00:49 PM

Hi,

how VSL sound set (vsl solo string) has done to convert midi velocity to CC11 in Sibelius? is it possible to convert velocity to CC11 in Sibelius without a sound set?

I have no idea how it is possible.......

10.Why not a subscription plan? 11/8/2020 5:07:43 PM
Hey vsl user... What do you think about a subscription plan for vsl product? Specially the new ones?
I think now a day will be a great choice... Anybody!?
11.Custom sound set for sibelius 11/7/2020 1:41:36 PM
Hi,
Is it possible to create a custom sound set with sibelius ultimate?
I have installed the soundset that has done by vsl team(solo string I) but I wish to upgrade this with more articulation? Is it possible to upgrade that soundset or create my custom soundset from the beginning?

And, in case a soundset could be created, I have to create a new housestyle or when creating a soundset will create also the housestyle?

If anyone have some info let me know please
Thanks in advanve
12.MIR PRO and creating en ensemble 10/22/2019 8:51:48 AM

thanks for the reply,

maybe could be a good idee use a third parts phase alignment plug in + detune sample trick?

I mean for exemple:

4 triple horns , 1st original pitch, 2nd (-1) ,3th(-2), 4th(+1), each in different position within MIR pro, and then bus the 4 tracks in vienna ensamble pro with a phase alignment plug in such as the one from waves or similar?

sorry if I ask, but I'm  planning to buy some of your product for a big work I'm asking for, but before I need some info if my idea of workflow will properly work.

thank you

13.MIR PRO and creating en ensemble 10/22/2019 7:18:44 AM

Hi,

I'm wondering if it is possible in MIR pro to simulate a flute ensemble or horn ensemble ecc. ecc. using single instruments.

when it will be different notes I guess it's not a problem but when they have to go in unison will it work? should I use the trick of detune samples?

I have a powerfull CPU so for me is not a problem creating a lot of single instruments for brass and woowinds section, but I don't know if it will work .

I need articulations that aren't in woodwind or brass ensemble.

let me know if anyone of you have tried or some advice to achive that.

thank you guys

Hi to all

don't know if it's the right forum section to ask  what I'm asking...but

obviously I will pay for that. if there's anyboby out there who can do that please contact me...if you prefer with private message. thanks in advance!

23.choosing workstation 1/6/2013 10:16:45 AM

Hi to all

I have tu buy a powerful workstation cause I have to do big orchestral score using possibly MIR and all the VSL products (for the conservatory where I 'm working).

So, since I have  to invest a lot of money not mine,I wanted to ask if here are some expert that can really help me make a choice. What really is needed to do big orchestration.

my budjet is around 10000 euro (vsl excluded)

I love apple, but not sure that money is enough.....

waiting for your advice....

24.articulation of dimension string 10/28/2012 10:08:39 AM

Hi,

are in dimension string less articulations type than orchestral string or chamber string library?

looking into sample content from the site it seems they are less....is it true?

probably the goal of this dimension string is the "divisi section" against the number of articulation, or maybe that's just my impression that there are less articulations.

25.VSL Appassionata Strings vs. LASS 11/21/2010 12:11:09 PM

nowaday nothing else is better then VSL. I have LASS, but believe me, VSL library is the best I have ever used! With LASS you have to do some complicated things.....buy appassionata and you'll here the difference in quality and programming
