When opening and Instance in VEP7 I'm still having the issue of choosing the default window that first comes up. I've read through the forums and see this has been a prior issue with many users. Has this been resolved?

I've tried  "Go to the View menu in VEP and select 'Save default window layout'." This did not resolve the problem for me. I also tried removing the Automation window, then re-saving. But now I just get a blank window until I click on the instrument.

It's a minor annoyance that requires a few more clicks, But it does disrupt the workflow and those extra clicks add up of the course of a day and weeks. Anyone have any suggestions? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

My current setup is VEP is 7.2.1526, Windows 10 pro 19045.3086.

Further additions - I was able to locate and install ViennaEnsemblePro-WIN-7_2_1495. This fixed the previous problem for me. The issue must have been with the 7.2.1503 update?

I'll also add - I was unable to rollback vepro 7 to an earlier version that allows VST3 to test. When attempting the rollback from Vienna Assistant 1.0.272, it lists previous 7.2 versions as options, but when I choose a 7.2 option it actually downloads and installs only 7.1 software versions. I was unable to find previous 7.2 installers on the website.

Latest update has caused problems for me as well.

I just updated both Kontakt 7 and Vepro 7 to their latest versions as of Feb 19th and immediately ran into a problem. With two separate instruments of Kontakt loaded into a single Vepro instance, when switching between each Kontakt instrument Vepro will freeze/hang. Before it freezes I see the Kontakt display flicker, then Vepro completely locks up and I need to force quit to fix.

Haven't had the opportunity to fully test it out, but can say from limited use it works.

I second this 1000%!!!

VE Pro is and has been a vital tool in my professional studio. Now with the latest release of Kontakt 7 (another vital tool) as VST3 only, it is unusable in the the current version of VE Pro. 

I have also been a longtime dedicated user, I sincerely hope that attention is paid to this issue and a solution is reached before it becomes necessary to seek out alternatives.

I'm having the same issue here as well. Just loading kontakt. Spinning wheel goes away when hovering over the Kontakt plugin, begins to spin everywhere outside the plugin.

Windows 7, Cubase 9

Hello, hope someone can help.

My setup - Cubase 9 on windows 7, connected to Slave pc (windows 7) running vep6 via ethernet.

I recently upgraded vepro5 to vepro6. Using vep5 everything worked perfectly. The only change I made was the suggested firewall assignments in the vep6 manual.

Now vep6 inside Cubase shows no instances (ip addresses) available. I can manually type in the IP address and instance name on the slave and it will connect. But I don't see any ip addresses in the Sever Instance window of the plugin.

I tried to trouble shot by changing the ip addresses and disabling the firewall completely. Reinstalling vep6 on both computers. Also, renaming the new vep6 instances and projects. Both computers share a similar IP and have both worked with vep5 in the past. The upgrade to vep6 is the only change in my system.

What am I missing? Any thoughts or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Does Vep5/6 have midi out capabilities?

I'm currently running Vep5 on a PC server connected to Cubase on a sequencing machine. I would like to have to ability to send midi data from the Vep Server to Cubase. Is this possible? If not, is there a work-around I could try?

I'd appreciate anyone's experience or input with this. Thanks!
