1.Vienna and ROLI Seaboard 4/15/2016 2:39:18 PM

Hi Jason

I was also speak with Dave. He gave me consultation about aftertouch etc. and it works. But he also told me that there is a possibility of programming Glide and that there is a way how to transmit this Glide messages to Vienna. But that's all I know and I didn't succesed in programming that.

If you will speak with Dave, try to ask him about this. Maybe he coul make for us a manual how to programm Glide to make on string etc.

Have a nice weekend and if I will have some new informations I will write it here.

Best regrads

Pavel Kalina

4.VSL and Logic Pro X. Which notation program? 9/20/2013 7:15:36 AM

Hello Hetoreyn

thanks a lot for your advice. I will look on Notation and I will try it. Hope it will work without problems. I haven't a lot of time to learn it so it is very important for me if the notation software is user friendly. Tell me please if I will use - for example - detaché - in vsl and in logic it is C1 as a note. In score - I need that it will not appear as C1 but like sign detaché. Is it possible in Notion or you have some other method how you put this music signs into score? If you play legato - is it written legato in Notation automatically or you have to make it manually as in Logic?

I listened music extracts on your site - it looks very good :) Nice music!

Have a nice day

Pavel

5.VSL and Logic Pro X. Which notation program? 9/19/2013 3:28:56 PM

Hello friends

I need your advice. I am composing now a film score, which will be performed with studio film orchestra an I need to print music for orchestral players. Could somebody recommend me the best suitable notation programe which will work with the software which I am using? I work on Mac and I am using Logic Pro X, VSL and other plugins like Native Instruments, Synthogy Pianos etc. Logic has also notation software but I am afraid that it is not enough and that it is very slow to work in it. I am interested what are your experiences?

6.Vienna Instruments Pro - memory is getting low 10/26/2010 8:12:29 AM

Thanks a lot Nick, it helps me so much. You were right, I was working still on 32bit version of Logic. I switched off the button and the problem escapes. Thanks again.

7.Vienna Instruments Pro - memory is getting low 10/25/2010 10:39:08 AM

Hello friends, I have a strange message from VI Pro. On my Mac when I am using more instruments (for example full orchestra) I have a message from VI Pro that the memory is getting low. But on Activity monitor I could see that my RAM is full only about 40%. Could somebody tell me where is the problem? Before with normal VI I haven't this problem.

I am working on Mac Pro 9 GB RAM 2x2,66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon, Logic Pro 9

Thanks in advance

8.Reinstalling system OSX 9/15/2009 8:12:32 AM

Hello friends,

I just reinstalled my mac from tiger to snow leopard. Could somebody told me how to reinstall all these VSL libraries. My VSL libraries are not on the system disc, but on other harddiscs of my computer. So I think that it is enough if I will show to Vienna Instrument the way where they are. I don't want to reinstall everything again. Is there any possibility?

Thank you in advance

9.Logic Pro and RAM 5/30/2007 10:43:29 AM
Hello,

finaly I decided not to buy Mac.

My new choice is Dell Precission 490, Intel Xeon 5160 (3 GHz, 4 MB) with 4 GB Ram. When the time comes I can increase RAM and buy another processor - my opinion is thet one xeon is ok.
Till this time I was working on two Pentium 4 2,8 GHz and with some victims it was working quite good. I expect that mostly I will work on one xeon pc now but some time I will use my old one if I will need large scores.
I have good expirience with dell - the service is really quick. My friend had Mac and he was waiting for repair more then month!

10.Logic Pro and RAM 5/27/2007 10:30:31 PM
Hello friends,

I have few questions about logic pro:

1) Is it a 64 bit application
2) Can I run Vienna Ins. on it using more then 4 GB RAM?
3) If yes - how? By running several VIs or on one VI?

Thank you in advance for your answer

11.Mac Pro and Vienna Instruments 4/12/2007 7:47:56 AM
Hello friends,

I would like to buy Mac Pro 2,66 GHz with 16 GB RAM. Will Vienna work on it without problems? Will it use all 16 GB of RAM? Will I have any unexpected problem with Vienna and Mac?

Thanks a lot for your advices and suggestions

12.Vst System Link 1/26/2007 11:58:07 AM
Hello friends,

does anybody has an expirience with using VST system link? I have a system of two computers and Tascam FW-1884. Tascam is connected through firewire with PC 1 and through Adat with PC 2. PC 2 has a soundcard Creamware Project with 6DSP and Adat. I can now record audio through ADAT from one comp to the second. I would like to try to synchronize all the equipment through VST System link. I made everything described in the manual of Cubase (I have a Cubase in the both comps) but it doesnt work. Does anybody has the same system and uses VST System link? Does enything better exist then VST System link?

Thank you very much in advance

13.Quad Core Intel Xeon 1/7/2007 5:42:31 PM
Christian - thanks for the answer. Does another way exist how to encrease a power of computer. Now I am working on two computers, but it is not very comfortable - especially when I am going to studio for mixing. My idea was to have everything in one computer but for this I need minimum 8 GB of RAM. Now I am working with 4 GB (on each comp I have 2 GB) and when I am making large orchestra I used to be out of limit (with CPU and with RAM). Could you recommend me anything?

Thank you a lot

Pavel

15.Converting from Giga to Halion 9/14/2006 6:19:11 PM
Hello friends,

does anybody know how to convert Overdrive Guitar from Horizon series from Gigastudio files to Halion? I bought it for Giga and after all these changes with VSL (I am using now Vienna Instrument) I cannot use Cubase and Giga on the same computer (it doesnt works good). Thanks a lot for advice. I of course tried to do it through import which is in Halion but the sound was different after that.
