i have original versions of opus 1,chamber strings,solo strings and epic horns in exs format..
i now want to run my vienna components on a second mac g5 using kontakt in stand alone mode..is this possible or do i need a crossgrade?

I have a g5 dual 2 with a 160 gig system drive, a second internal 160 gig drive for exs samples and an external 160 gig lacie firewire drive for audio

about 60 gig of the internal sample library drive is used..this includes opus 1 library i use spectrasonics rmx, trilogy, albino etc

i use the audio drive for guitar tracks and occasional vocals

i have now just bought epic horns, chamber strings and solo strings

should i install all these new libraries on the internal sample drive or put some on the audio drive ( i,m concerned about disk streaming)

im also increasing ram to 2.5 gig will this be enough?

an unrelated issue...i have experienced most logic crashes when usng 3rd party plug ins e.g.stylus rmx, trilogy, and albino.. the exs remains stable

using logic 7 g5 dual2 i get core overload on the first play through of a logic song using say 24 audio exs instruments mainly vienna library..

cpu use is about 25% ram use about 1 gig of 1.5 gig

once insruments have played through once logic behaves...

I have to play back the whole logic song stopping at each new section which stops with a core overload alert box then on replaying from the top it is ok why?
