Danny Elfman’s scoring credits include Alice in Wonderland, Batman, Batman Returns, Dark Shadows, Dick Tracy, Edward Scissorhands, Hulk, Men in Black, Planet of the Apes, Spider-Man, Mars Attacks, and Mission: Impossible. TV themes include the Simpsons and Desparate Housewives.

Danny is working out of three studios. His main studio consists of three writing rooms (one for Danny, one main assistant's room, and another support room) so there are five rooms in all. Each room is a duplicate of each other so that files can transfer easily between them.

The composer's main sequencer machine is a Mac Pro (2012 12 core 32GB of RAM) running Digital Performer. There are two slave PCs (12 core 32GB of RAM with Windows 7) each running Vienna Ensemble PRO as a host. All audio outputs of the PCs are routed via MADI to another Mac running Pro Tools.

Danny is using several sample libraries, but a good majority are Vienna Instruments Collections with the Vienna Instruments PRO player. His assistant, Greg Maloney, created some custom Jazzmutant Lemur patches that control some of Danny’s Vienna Instruments. Using the Lemur, Danny switches between different articulations, fades between vibrato/non vibrato patches, velocity crossfades and more.
